Art League of New Britain 3rd Annual Photography Show

Juried for Entry and Prizes

December 13, 2013 – January 5, 2014

Opening Reception: Friday, Dec. 13 from 6-8 p.m.

Eligible Artwork: All entries must be photography based.

Jurying for both entry and prizes. See non accepted pickup dates below.

First Prize -$200 (Irving Blomstrann Award) Second Prize -$125 (New Britain Camera Club Award) Third Prize -$75

President’s Award -$100 gift certificate from Aardvark Framing

Requirements: Photographers may submit any number of works totalling up to 90” horizontal inches in width, framed. For example: you may submit nine 10 inch wide framed works.

Prints may be color or black & white. Prints must be matted, framed, and be wired for hanging. Prints must have the photographer’s name, the print title, and an arrow showing the print orientation on the back.

Accepted prints must remain on display until the show closes. That includes prints that are sold.

Entry Fee: Members: $20 first entry. $5 each subsequent entry (90” total width of all entries). Non-members: $30 first entry. $5 each subsequent entry (90” total width of all entries).

The Art League of New Britain will accept cash or check for membership and/or entry fees. Checks should be made payable to Art League of New Britain

Fees are non-refundable.

Receiving: Monday, Nov. 18, Tuesday Nov.19, Wednesday Nov. 20, Monday Nov. 25. 4-6 p.m. or call 860 877 3839

Pick up Non-accepted: Monday, Dec. 9. Tuesday Dec. 10, 4-6 pm.

Opening Reception: Friday, Dec, 13 from 6-8 p.m.

Pick up Accepted Work: Sunday, January 5, 4-5 p.m. Monday, January 6, p.m. 3-5pm. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 3-5 p.m.

Identification is required for pick-up.

Sales: The Art League of New Britain will charge sales tax on all prints sold. The Art League of New Britain will take a 30% commission on all prints sold.

Liability: Every reasonable care will be taken in the handling and storage of the prints submitted, but the Art League of New Britain will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any print before, during, or after the exhibition.
