Week 1 is over. How did I do? I went 11-5.
What does Week 2 promise?
The New England Patriots play the New York Jets on Thursday night. As I write this the game has not taken place. I’m taking the Patriots, but since it is a divisional game I am worried. The Pats looked awful against the Buffalo Bills. Players did not seem in sync. The Jets didn’t look good either.
New England 31, New York 27
The New York Giants play at home against the Denver Broncos. My first thought was the poor Giants. But, Denver has to travel to the East coast and is coming off a big win against the Superbowl defending champion Baltimore Ravens. The Giants are unpredictable and can win this game. I am sticking with Denver, but I would not be surprised to see an upset here.
Denver 34, New York 28
Falcons 34, Rams 17 – I like the Falcons to rebound big at home.
Carolina 21, Buffalo 20 – I think Cam Newton is the better quarterback.
Chicago 20, Minnesota, 17 – I like Chicago at home.
Green Bay 35, Washington 33 – This is going to be a great game to watch!
Indianapolis 28, Miami 13 – I think Andrew Luck will destroy the Dolphin defense.
Kansas City 24, Dallas 21 – I don’t like either team really.
Philadelphia 27, San Diego 24 – Philly is home and I can’t stand Philip Rivers.
Ravens 31, Cleveland 10 – Baltimore is mad.
Houston 28, Tennessee 24 – I think Houston is the superior team.
Detroit 42, Arizona 14 – The Lions will roll.
New Orleans 23, Tampa Bay 20 – I am waiting to see if the Saints are for real.
Oakland 24, Jacksonville – 13 – Just a gut feeling.
San Francisco 28, Seahawks 23 – The 49ers will outscore the Seahawks despite its vaunted defense.
Cincinnati 17, Pittsburgh 13 – Lowest scoring game of the week. I’ll take the home team on Monday night.
