I went 9-3 in week 16 putting me at 140-74 at the end of the regular season. The playoffs are another thing and since I missed a week I better get some right this week.
Denver takes on Baltimore at home at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. I have been on Peyton Manning’s bandwagon all season and am not going to stop now. Baltimore is playing well, but I don’t think this game will be that close. Denver is the team to beat. I’m taking Denver in a big way.
Denver 38, Baltimore 20
San Francisco is at home Saturday night at 8 p.m. taking on a Green Bay team that looks better each week. I was high on both teams early in the year. I thought one of these two were going all the way. One may end up in the Superbowl, but I don’t see either winning it. This week I’m taking San Francisco purely for its defense. It’s the number two defense behind Seattle. I don’t expect a blow-out and Green Bay could make it an upset. But, this week I’m taking the home team.
San Francisco 21, Green Bay 17
Atlanta is at home Sunday at 1 p.m. to play the Seattle Seahawks. I have been a fan of Seattle most of the season. Its defense ranks number 1. I think Seattle may take it all next year. I probably will rank them number 1 in my rankings. But, I think Russell Wilson needs another year under his belt. I’ll take the Falcons this week.
Atlanta 20, Seattle 16
My New England Patriots play Houston in the 4:30 p.m. game on Sunday. One guess who I am taking? Last time these two played I took Houston. Boy, was I wrong. New England dominated. I think this game will be a bit closer. I will, however, take the Pats to win it. Each week the Patriots have looked better. Houston was not impressive last week.
New England 34, Houston 28
I am not going to make my Superbowl picks until next week. At the start of the season I took Houston and Green Bay. We shall see if I change my mind.
