Stanley Golf Course Opens
The Stanley Municipal Golf Course officially opened for the 2011 season on Thursday, March 17 at 11 a.m. Mayor Timothy T. Stewart hit the first ball, followed by Chairman Jamie Giantonio and Vice Chairman Paul Shaker Sr.
Stanley Golf Course opened 18 holes. The course will be open at 9 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 8 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays until weather permits an earlier opening. The weekend starting times will also be available on a first come first served basis at this time. The nineteen station,covered, enclosed and heated driving range is open for your golfing pleasure. The driving range is lighted as well. Visa and MasterCard is available for all purchases.
“Golfers should know that each cart has a brand new state-of-the-art GPS (Global Positioning System), slated to be installed in the brand new Precedent Club Car electric carts the last week of March” said Bill DeMaio, Director of Parks and Recreation.
