The Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra proudly presents it’s New Year’s Eve Concert at Trinity-on-Main in New Britain on Saturday, December 31st. The festivities begin at 6pm with complementary hors d’oeuvres.
The evening continues with a concert at 7pm starring tenor Michael Imbimbo singing the songs of Sinatra. The concert will also feature waltzes and polkas by Strauss, Grieg- Holberg Suite and McLean- Dances. Patrons are invited to stay after the concert for music and a champagne toast. The event will no longer include dinner.
Born in Waterbury, CT, tenor Michael Imbimbo began his career at the age of nine with the St. Thomas Choir in New York City where he toured throughout the United States performing at such places as Carnegie and Avery Fischer Hall under the baton of Gerre Hancock. He had the privilege of working with many great artists, most notably, Jessye Norman, Carly Simon, and Robert Shaw.
Michael was recently seen as Gonzalve in Ravel’s L’heure Espagnole with CT Lyric Opera. Other upcoming engagements on the East Coast include Spalanzani and Nathanael in Les contes d’Hoffman, also with CT Lyric, and appearances with Dicapo Opera in Tosca, Beauty and the Beast and Iolanta.
