I am so excited as baseball season gets closer and closer.

I already posted that I believe the Yankees will win the division, but let’s take a closer look at what I believe will happen across baseball.

American League East

  1. New York
  2. Boston
  3. Toronto
  4. Tampa Bay
  5. Baltimore

If New York suffers injuries and cannot produce, it is possible to see Toronto or Boston make a run. Both are strong. The Red Sox are certainly good enough to grab first place or a wild card spot.

American League Central

  1. Cleveland
  2. Minnesota
  3. Chicago
  4. Detroit
  5. Kansas City

The Indians are so strong. I cannot see Minnesota catching them. The Twins will be in the wild card running, but can they make it? I doubt it.

American League West

  1. Houston
  2. Texas
  3. Los Angeles
  4. Seattle
  5. Oakland

The defending World Series champions will certainly lead the division. I like Texas and Los Angeles to be good as well. If Texas does indeed get the number two spot here, they will be the other wild card team along with the Red Sox.

National League East

  1. Washington
  2. New York
  3. Atlanta
  4. Philadelphia
  5. Miami

I believe this is the year for the Nationals. I see them going to the World Series. No one from this division will make the playoffs. Miami will have worst record in baseball.

National League Central

  1. Chicago
  2. St. Louis
  3. Milwaukee
  4. Pittsburgh
  5. Cincinnati

Chicago will win the division. St. Louis will be a wild card. The bottom three can finish in any order.

National League West

  1. Los Angeles
  2. Arizona
  3. Colorado
  4. San Francisco
  5. San Diego

The top 3 teams should vie for the top spot all season. In the end, the Dodgers should pull it out. I’m taking Arizona for the second playoff spot, but Colorado could sneak in there.

World Series Prediction:

New York Yankees vs Washington Nationals.
