Things are definitely changing in New York. This past week the Yankees played better than they have since May. They look rejuvenated and best of all the bullpen looks sharp again.
Aroldis Chapman has regained his old form and been the closer he was meant to be. I’m not as sure about Dellin Betances or David Robertson, but I’m willing to give them a chance.
Clint Frazier has really shown his stuff. We need to keep him for the long haul.
I’m still not impressed with Todd Frazier. Why did we get him? I would rather play a rookie and let them learn the game. Can’t we trade him to the Red Sox?
Didi Gregorius has been outstanding as has Brett Gardner. Aaron Judge is playing very mediocre right now.
I’m interested in seeing Sonny Gray play. I was worried we would give up Clint Frazier or Gleybar Torres for him. I’m glad we didn’t go there.
I have not seen Gray pitch. I hope he is worth all the hype.
This weekend we take on Cleveland. The Indians are a tough team for the Yankees. I don’t expect any blowouts. It will be close games all the way. I think the Yanks will split the series, but of course I hope we can take the series. It will definitely be up to our pitching staff for these games.
Next up is Toronto. We need to take that series to stay in first place. I think we can do it.
