Make Us Proud

Election 2014 is over and the residents have made their decision. It’s time to stop the nastiness on both sides of the aisle and move forward.

In New Britain the incumbent Democrats prevailed. We need to wish them well and encourage them to work hard for New Britain in the next two years.

Residents apparently approve of what they have done in the past and want to see more of the same.

The New Britain City Journal hopes these candidates keep their eyes on helping residents attain more new jobs in the City. People don’t need a hand out, they need a hand up.

Our hope is that every resident of New Britain can be in a better financial position in two years than they are now.

We no longer want to see New Britain have one of the lowest employment rates in the state. We do not want more low incoming housing. We want our low income housing residents to be able to move up from their position. We want all residents to have a fighting chance to succeed.

New Britain also needs more funds for education and more jobs. It’s as simple as that. We need representatives who will fight for our City and not their particular areas of interest.

We hope these candidates make us proud to say we live in New Britain. They have two years. Congratulations and good luck!
