Popeye’s to Locate at Former Taco Bell

Amodio & Co. Real Estate announced the sale of 523 and 527 West Main St. The former 1,700 square foot Taco Bell/John’s Auto Sales building at 527 West Main St. will undergo extensive renovations in the coming months, transforming the property into an attractive and modern fast food location.
The 2,240 square foot single family home at 523 West Main St. is scheduled for demolition.
“This will greatly enhance the appeal of corner location as well as bring added visibility to the Popeyes Chicken location, both on West Main Street and from overhead Rt-72.,” said an Amodio representative.
Seller, John Switajewski, (owner of John’s Auto Sales) will remain in the auto sales and service business directly behind this location at 20 Arthur St. The sale sets the stage for further development in this area along West Main St., given its close proximity to the CorWest Plaza (anchored by Stop & Shop) and exit ramps off Rt-72. Amodio & Co. represented both the seller and buyer in this transaction.
