The following candidates are running for Ward Aldermen. Each had the opportunity to submit a 200 word biography and a photograph. Each profile is unedited and presented in alphabetical order. Next week we will present candidates who are running for Aldermen at Large.
My name is Adrian Baron and I am the endorsed Democratic candidate for Ward 4. I am a 39 year old married attorney with a law firm based in New Britain. In addition to my law degree, I have a BA in English & Political Science and a Certificate in International Business Law and Trade. I also speak Polish and Spanish. I am running because I believe in the future of our community. My experience includes serving on city commissions under both Mayor Tim O’Brien and Mayor Tim Stewart. For the past several years, I have fought alongside local business owners and residents to improve New Britain’s Broad Street neighborhood. It was worth saving. We went after crime, rebranded the neighborhood and began efforts to attract new businesses. Today, bustling Little Poland boasts over 100 businesses and is the third most visited area in the city. The LP festival drew over 8000 people to shop and dine in our city. More importantly visitors have been coming back. We won the neighborhood back. It was a community effort that included the cooperation of private business, residents, city government and police. I would like to foster that type of cooperation throughout the city. Thank you for your consideration on November 5th.
