In an effort to assure all our readers can get copies of our newspapers, we have put up more news boxes. You should be able to find one in your neighborhood. You can find a list of most of them at http://nbcityjournal.com/find-a-copy.
Click around in the map and find the one closest to your home. You do get one in the mail about once a month, but we do come out every Friday and we are FREE. Delivery to your home by mail at a subscription price is also available. If interested call 860-505-7612 and have a credit card handy.
I want to remind readers of a few things. Tag Sale ads are free, so send or call them in. We also have an amazing $100 for 10 weeks deal in our services section of classifieds. If you have a service like mowing lawns, plumbing, landscaping or more this is a great low cost way for exposure.
Since we are delivered by mail to 23,000 residents at least once a month, advertising in the New Britain City Journal is a steal. And to make matters even better we are New Britain’s most trusted paper. We tell you all the news as it really is. And we are growing. Read us every week for more. No one else tells you the truth like we do.
Also be sure to support all the advertisers in this paper. They keep it from costing you money. Thank them also if you can.
As usual a lot is happening in New Britain. Did you see all the great little stores opening on West Main St. across from Jimmy’s Smoke Shop? I wish Main St. could be like that. Heck, I remember when it was. One day New Britain once again will be hopping.
Sunday is the Polish Festival on Broad St. It has a little bit of everything like crafts, foods, entertainment and special events. Reigning NABF Middleweight professional boxing champion Patrick (Przemys?aw) Majewski will be among those appearing. Be sure you attend. I know I will. Events like this always brighten up the City. I think Dozynki used to draw 50,000 people.
Do you remember Main St. USA? There must have been 75,000 people there.
This paper is pro-New Britain and not pro-anything else. We believe together with residents and business owners, we can make New Britain prosper once again.
Found this joke on Facebook from a friend and it made me giggle. I’m sure some of you will agree.
“With how lucky I get at Pier I, it’s a miracle I don’t leave married and pregnant.”
I find some very good items at a few stores, but I never got lucky enough to say that.
Until next week, don’t get too lucky and keep reading YOUR #1 Weekly Newspaper!
