New State of the Art Laundromat Opens in City

New Britain has a brand new Laundromat on South Main Street equipped with the first and only state of the art sanitizing unit called the san-o3-tyzer.This unit kills germs in every load by incorporating ozone into every wash, allowing customers to set the washing machines at a lower temperature. This saves the life of the garment without compromising one’s health, saves energy and our environment.
How Does Ozone Work?
Ozone carries an electrical and chemical charge in the washing solution, which actually starts to dissolve soil on contact. This process activates the chemicals in cold water instead of using hot water at 140-160 degrees. Using cold water extends the life of your garments without compromising your health
The brand new ultra high-speed equipment cuts down customer’s time doing laundry. Family size washers and dryers are super sized to hold multiple loads of laundry.
“We have multiple washers and dryers so customers are never waiting,” according to JoAnne LoRusso, owner of the Laundromat. “We give free drying time with every wash!”
LoRusso said an Attendant is available seven days a week to provide a wash, dry & fold service for just $1 per pound and a load & leave service for 50 cents per pound.
”We offer a Wash Card System that gives you Free Drying Time and is simple to use,” added LoRusso.

A Soap Center, fully stocked with detergents and laundry supplies, is available to purchase. Year round climate controlled heating and cooling is available. For comfort, television, and vending machines filled with refreshments and snacks is also on premises.
South Main Laundromat, 182 South Main St., is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Last wash is at 8 p.m.
