Thank You for a Great Year

When we started the first edition of the New Britain City Journal one year ago, we encountered a lot of naysayers.
A lot of people did not think a weekly newspaper could succeed in New Britain. There was plenty of reasons to be skeptical. We had a lot to prove. And, we are glad to have proved them wrong. This edition marks our one year anniversary.
It has been a year with many ups and downs. Fortunately, the ups have outweighed the downs.
We have expanded our reach to residents as well as our coverage in the past 12 months. We still have a long way to go, but every week something new and exciting seems to come along.
Our most recent addition has been our newly improved website. At www.nbcityjournal.com we have been able to give residents breaking news. Most of what we present in our newspaper is not timely, but it’s good to have an outlet for the news that is of great magnitude. We hope you read the website as news changes almost daily.
Although, we are happy to have succeeded, we know it is because of our advertisers and readers that we have been able to come this far. Without you, we would just be words on a page. This paper is truly a reflection of our readers.
You must believe in the City if you are truly going to make it here. New Britain has such a diverse population. That diversity makes it a special place to live.
We have many more great ideas for the year ahead. You will have to just wait and see what they are. We wouldn’t want to spoil the fun.
As we move ahead on our journey we just wanted to stop and say Thank You! We hope you have enjoyed the past year as much as we have.
