How can you feel more delighted with the way the Yanks are playing? I don’t think you can. It sure is a fun time to watch the Bombers play.

Sweeping the World Series champion Chicago Cubs was amazing. It had great plays like Brett Gardner hitting a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth with two outs to win game one.

My boy Aaron Judge has slowed down a bit, but this team has not missed a beat. It is time for catcher Gary Sanchez to get in the groove.

I have to list some great statistics for the team

Starlin Castro has the top batting average at .358 and hits with 44. Judge has the most home runs 13, the most RBI 28, and the best on base percentage at .410.

Yankees lead the majors with 44 home runs as a team. As a team the batting average is .274 with an on base percentage of .463. As of Tuesday morning, the team scored 177 runs in 30 games putting the team at 5.9 runs a game.

These are huge numbers. If the Yankees play close to this all season they could win over 110 games.

Now, that probably won’t happen. They are bound to slump at some point. But, just thinking about it is mind boggling.

I’m not sure in all my years that I have seen the Yankees play this well. The amount of runs and the ease they seem to play is incredible.

The pitching has been fantastic as well. Masahiro Tanaka, Luis Severino and Jordan Montgomery have kept the team in every game.

There is nothing bad happening to the Bombers so far this season. We have the best record in baseball and are in first place in the American League.

This week we get to play Houston and see New Britain’s George Springer. That will be fun to watch. Although I will root for Springer, may the Yankees sweep the Astros.
