The Yankees were impressive all spring, but looked awful on opening day. That was disappointing. Masahiro Tanaka has to play better than that if they are going to get to the playoffs.

So who do I think will win each division? I am going with the Mets in the National League East, Chicago in the Central and the Dodgers in the West. The Mets rotation is the strongest in the league.

My wild card teams are San Francisco and Washington. The Giants are always looked over. They are strong again.

In the American League I am taking Boston to win the East, Cleveland to win the Central and Houston to take the West. Houston is very underrated and they have New Britain’s George Springer.

My wild card teams are the Yankees and the LA Angels.

The last time the Yankees went four years without a post season game was 1993. It won’t happen in 2017.

NL Final will be Dodgers and Chicago. AL will be Houston and Cleveland.

I am taking the Dodgers and Cleveland in the finals.

This year my pick is the Cleveland Indians to win the World Series. I think they will be on a revenge tour and will be dominant all year. They came so close last year.

For MVP awards, I go with Mookie Betts and Nolan Arenado.

Most home runs I have to take Greg Bird or Gary Sanchez. I know they are Yankees, I am partial, but I think big things are coming from these two.

Cy Young I think will be Clayton Kershaw and Chris Archer.

Rookie of the year predictions are Aaron Judge and Hunter Renfroe.
