Berlin Holds “Coffee From A Cop”

By at March 23, 2024 | 6:00 pm | Print

On Thursday, March 16, two Berlin Police Department Officers spent the late morning at the Dunkin Donuts on Farmington Avenue for a “coffee from a cop” event.

Sergeant Todd Lentini and Officer Dave Cruickshank spent an hour and a half buying coffee and other beverages for patrons of Dunkin Donuts. The Officers came up with the idea as a way to thank the patrons of Dunkin Donuts who frequently “pay it forward”, and buy coffee for the Officers in the drive thru line behind them.

The event was a big hit with the patrons and both Officers thoroughly enjoyed the disbelief of the patrons pulling up to the drive through window and being given a free beverage by a police officer.

The beverages were paid for by donations from the Officers.
