There is a new radio studio in the City and it has brought back a popular State radio personality in Sebastian. A former radio star for many years on WCCC, WZMX and WTIC, his new show is called “Sebastian Uncensored”. It is located at the new Baldwin Media Radio Studio on Grove St.

The show runs 7-10 a.m. weekdays and can be heard using an app on itunes or google play.

Ann Baldwin, president of Baldwin Media said the studio is open for many different shows.

“People can do interviews at the news desk and then post them on Facbook,” Baldwin said. “There are two sets and it depends on what type of feel you want.”

Baldwin does her WTIC radio show on Sunday mornings at the studio called “Voices of Recovery Radio”.

Baldwin, a former Channel 30 anchor, began in this building 22 years ago.

“I moved around like a nomad and had my ups and downs, but here I am back again,” Baldwin said. “Things are on the upswing and are going fantastic.”

The radio station has opened up many opportunities.

“This is the new way to broadcast personalities. We don’t need an AM or FM signal that will limit us to a 50 mile radius,” said Adam Goodman CEO of Radio Button Network and the General Manager of Sebastian Uncensored. “The fans of Sebastian are all over the globe. We have 80 percent of the audience here in Connecticut and 20 percent are from a variety of places all over the world.”

Goodman and Sebastian thought about this concept for many years. When Diane Novak, a former co-anchor with Sebastian returned to Connecticut the show was formed. It began live on Aug. 9.

“It’s good because people have busy lives and now they have no excuse not to sample it because they can give it a half hour anytime,” said Sebastian, “It’s a lot like Seinfeld. It’s a show about nothing and a show about everything.”

“We talk about anything and everything,” said Novak. “He’s had an incredibly entertaining life and he embellishes on it beautifully. We are having fun.”

Sebastian said it is a little harder than radio because people can’t call in while they are listening on their phones or they will lose the show.

“It makes us work harder,” Sebastian said. “It’s different, but I can do this on my own without anyone telling me what I can talk about and what I can’t.”

Sebastian said this is the wave of the future.

“We have close to 4,000 listeners without any advertising what so ever,” said Sebastian. “It’s only going to be bigger and better.”

Baldwin said she hopes to have a variety of new shows and clients use the studio.

“Since we are here in New Britain I would like to put together a polish program,” Baldwin said. “We could have a national and international audience.”
