Summer Dog Obedience Classes Offered

The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for Summer Dog Obedience Classes at the Berlin Parks and Recreation Office, 230 Kensington Road, Berlin CT 06037 beginning on Monday, May 9th for residents and Monday, May 23th for non-residents. The classes are held at the former Pistol Creek Golf Course, 600 Spruce Brook Road, East Berlin, CT. 06023. Dog handlers should be at least 16 years old. There is a fee for residents and non-residents for dog obedience classes and limited enrollment for all classes. The classes offered this summer will be Kindergarten Puppy training a class for puppies aged two and a half months to six months. Held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for seven weeks beginning on June 23rd to August 4th Basic Dog Obedience is a class that will cover basic commands for the family dog. Dogs should be at least 6 months. Held on Tuesdays beginning on June 21st to August 2nd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for seven weeks. Obedience Challenge Course class, dogs and handlers will navigate a course of varying obedience exercises each week. Held on Wednesdays 6- 7 p.m. for 4 weeks June 27th to July 20th.
