Family Fun – Pussy Willows

Have you noticed that even with our crazy weather the pussy willows are blooming? Beautiful and warm one day then snowing the next those pussy willows still did their thing! It’s super easy to grow one of your own pussy willow trees. When you see one if you can just break off a branch bring it home and put it in water. While you are enjoying the catkins the branch will eventrually start rooting. Once you have a good system of roots going you can plant it in the yard. Next year you won’t have to go so far to find them!
On with our craft!
Gather any small branches from your yard.
Grab a bunch of brightly colored pom poms.
Maybe a few colors of paint if you are feeling kinda wild.
Paint your branches. Let dry.
Glue your pop poms on the branches in random groups on the branches.
Ta da! You now have your own version of pussy willows. Put in a vase and enjoy!
