It was a lot of fun attending The Bees media day on Tuesday.

Both the stadium and the field look fantastic. We were able to meet many players as well as coaches and managers. I met a bunch of players the girls in the City will be gaga about.

It’s nice that the Bees have opened everything up for everyone in the community. It makes the team part of the City. I have no doubt New Britain residents will look at the Bees with pride. They are ours now. We need to support them and accept the team as our own.

I did feel the coaches were trying to persuade us of the importance of the Atlantic League. I don’t know how some sports reporters felt, but I am excited the Bees are in the Atlantic League. It is a terrific league.

Did you know each Atlantic League ballpark has a carousel? It looked like a lot of fun. There is a Kid’s Zone so I expect a lot of young ones to hang out there.

I certainly don’t know the players names by heart as I do the Yankees, but I expect it will come in time.

We won’t be covering each Bees game individually, but we hope to bring you much news about the team. I don’t recall feeling this excited about the Rock Cats.

I guess I have already been stung by The Bees.

Hope to see you at the Stadium on April 21. I am very anxious for the season to start in case you can’t tell.

I can’t watch the Yankees right now, so, The Bees here I come.

I am very sad about the passing of Jim Sanders Sr. He was a very wise man who cared about the City. He has influenced much change. He will be missed. It is certainly a sad time for New Britain. I send my condolences to his family. I’m sure he is up in heaven causing a commotion.

So what kind of food would you like to see from the food trucks. It seems everyone has feelings on that. See the story on page 2 of what our group members think.

Personally, I want poutines. Also I like kebobs. A variety would be perfect.

Whatever we get I am sure to try.

It is time for my joke from Facebook. Yeah, this one involves food.

“I want buns of steel. But, I also want buns of cinnamon.”

Why can’t I have both?

Until next week, keep an eye on your buns and keep reading YOUR #1 Most Trusted New Britain Newspaper!
