Family Fun - Snakes

Spring has arrived! The daffodils’ are blooming the birds are singing and people are starting to think about digging in the yard. Time to clear out the leaves and trim the bushes. Sometimes we might be waking up little critters that have been nesting! While most snakes try to blend in with their natural environment ours like to be SEEN! How fun are these guys?
This is a nice fast project for a dull rainy day. We might get those now that it’s April.
Materials:
Cardboard tubes
Bright colored paints
A bit of glue
Googly eyes
Scissors
How to:
Paint your tube in bright happy Spring colors. Just for fun add dots or stripes
When dry cut in a spiral all the way up the tube.
If you lose the curl as you cut go ahead and wrap it around a tube that has not been cut for a little while.
When you are ready cut a forked tongue and paint it red.
Add eyes.
Now hide that snake somewhere and see how long it takes for your friend to find it! Be ready for happy screams!
