Eggs! Eggs! Eggs! What would Easter be without eggs? Color them, fill them, hide them there are so many fun things to do with eggs! Real eggs, plastic eggs and even porcelain eggs! Today we are going to make Easter Bunny Eggs!
Materials needed:
Small cardboard tubes from the bathroom tissue
Plastic or real hard boiled eggs
Small amounts of paint in Spring colors
Small amounts of buttons or trim to decorate the bodies
Black Sharpie
glue
Hot glue for the ears
construction paper or felt in a variety of colors
How to:
Decide what colors you would like your bunny to be. Paint your tube. You might have to do 2 coats.
Cut out long strips of paper for the legs.
Cut out ears
Once your paint is dry you can start to create your bunny. We used black sharpie to draw on a color and buttons on one and a small amount of lace and a few buttons for the other.
Paint the rim and a bit inside the top of the tube and pop on your egg!
We used a hot glue gun to glue the ears on. It works fast and holds nicely.
We used our black sharpie to draw the face on the egg.
Leggs! Take your long strips and fold to form a foot and a knee and one more fold to paint with glue and put inside the body. We used a magic marker to color shoes and trimed to a rounded shape.
Last draw the face with your black sharpie!
Pop on to a window sil to give the family a happy greeting!
