Family Fun - Tulips

Spring! Can you almost feel it? The tulips are popping out of the ground the birds are going crazy and singing from first light to dark and people are breaking out the shorts and flip flops! Let’s go with that happy theme this week and make flowers! These can be lined up cheerfully on a window sill or on the kitchen table. No matter where they “grow” they will bring signs of Spring and happiness.
Materials:
- Felt in a variety of colors
- BBQ spears
- Little cups
- Small amounts of modeling clay
- Glue
- Green paint
How to:
- First paint your stems green and allow to dry
- Second cut out your felt shapes. You will need 2 matching flower shapes for each flower and 2 matching leaf shapes.
- Apply your glue to the shapes
- Then make a sandwich of shapes around your bbq spear with your felt flower and leaf shapes.
- Place a small amount of modeling clay in the bottom of your cup
- Plant your flower!
- Admire and think happy thoughts of Spring!
