Come over to Trinity-On-Main at 69 Main St. on Friday, March 4 for a night of Rock N Roll. Opening act The Cruz Machine, featuring Ashly Cruz, starts at 8 p.m. Then the Power Trio “Maxx Explosion” hits the stage for an unforgettable night. We have a full bar and concessions and plenty of free parking across the street in the Chestnut Street Parking garage and on the streets.
The Lady of Rock, Ashly Cruz and her band Cruz Machine are the hottest original theatrical rock act in Connecticut. This one of a kind show features music from their album “The West”. Look for the release of their new single “My Demon” featuring Jimi Bell on lead guitar! A Connecticut native, Ashly began her career as a young, professional ballet dancer and a star in the Hartford Ballet Company. She later became a founding member and a prominent
choreographer of the Hartford Contemporary Dance Theater. She landed a small part in the CBS Movie Of The Week, “No Place Like Home” starring Jeff Daniels. She then stared in many leading roles at regional theatres across the country. In Los Angeles, Ashly formed and became the lead singer of the rock band “Taboo You” She shifted her interests to Nashville, where she put together a special French/ American Cabaret show. Upon returning to her home state, Ashly has headlined at BB King’s Dance Club at Foxwoods Casino and at the “Taste Of Hartford” event. Ashly was also the featured performer every Friday and Saturday nights dancing and singing to Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Disco and Rock at La Vie En Rose Bistro in New London, CT. She then released on Hothead Recordings her first solo album titled, “Ai Bailar (Let’s Dance)”, starting with her first single and video titled “My Tango Baby”, and a special 4-track EP taken from her album titled “The Ballroom EP”. Ashly then created and copyrighted “Cardio Latina”. This is an adaptation of Latin dances combining both ballroom and night- club styles to create a fun, and effective fitness craze that has swept Connecticut for nearly two years now. Finally, at the urge of her fans and with a hunger for the excitement and creativity of her days in California she led the development of the band “CruzMachine”
Maxx Explosion is an American hard rock band comprised of some of the top musicians in the melodic rock genre. Blasting onto the scene with their incendiary albums “Forever” and “Dirty Angels”, Maxx Explosion delivers a unique combination of potent rock songs and epic ballads. The band is made up of Chris McCarvill’s wild bass playing and emotional vocals, the bombastic yet technical drums from BJ Zampa and the screaming shreds from Jimi Bell’s blinding guitar work. All three members are consummate musicians, singers and writers. Recording and touring in the USA as well as internationally have fused the band’s distinctive vision of hard rock. Their songs tip a hat to the anthemic euphoria of the 80’s while blasting into the 21st century and beyond. Following the success of Maxx Explosions first album ‘Forever’, their new release ‘Dirty Angels’ album is a heady mix of dynamic and energy filled tracks, a little funky in places. Both albums bring an epic mix of powerful rock that’ll have you singing along and begging for more. There’s something for every rock fan in this diverse mix of these strong and melodic rock songs. Not content to rely on audio alone, Maxx Explosion delivers an amazing array of music videos and visual art as well as distinctive and fan-fueled merchandise, all in house, to keep listeners immersed and engaged in the experience of the albums and live shows.
