The Mayor and Bill Carroll, Business Development Director for the New Britain Municipal Economic Development Agency, presented the business with the award at the company’s headquarters at 35 Woodland St. Atlantic Restoration is a full service restoration and remodeling company that specializes in water, fire, and mold remediation services. Owner Gregory Radin purchased the property on Woodland Street in July 2015 and has since made extensive renovations to the both the building’s exterior and interior. The company currently has 5 full-time employees and is actively seeking to add more workers.

The 10,646-square-foot building on Woodland Street is situated in an industrial zone that’s in close proximity to the CTFastrak corridor. The block and concrete constructed building was built in 1900.

Mayor Stewart announced in January 2015 the “Beautify New Britain” initiative as a way to recognize New Britain property owners who have beautified or significantly improved their property. Previous recipients have included Riley’s Hot Dog and Burger Gourmet, Polamer Precision, and the Simon Konover Company for their work in transforming the Pinnacle Heights housing complex into the modern Brytania Square community.

A new business or residence will be selected on an on-going basis. The recipient is determined through feedback from the public, as well as through input from city personnel who have direct knowledge of the properties.
