Go Snowman Bowling!

I know that there is no snow yet but with Christmas almost upon us we are all thinking about snow and snowmen! Here’s a fun activity that uses cardboard tubes and bits and pieces of odds and ends you have around the house.

Materials:

Cardboard tubes – toilet paper tubes

Paint

Markers

Bits of fabric or socks with no mates

Glue

First paint your tubes white.

When you paint is dry – grab that single kid’s sock. The end goes over the tube and tie with a bit of yarn. Cut off the excess. This creates a cute hat!

The rest of the sock can be cut cross cut diagonally to create the matching scarf.

Draw on your face or use googly eyes

Add buttons or cut them from felt and use black markers to make holes.

That’s it! With a minimum of 6 you can bowl. Use a small ball or rolled up sock. Add a few more snowmen and sneak in some math practice.

Variations: Make Minions or Santas
