City Journal Wins 9 Awards

The New Britain City Journal won 9 awards Thursday, May 21 at the CT Society of Professional Journalist 2014 Award Dinner in Wallingford.
Awards included 5 first place awards in the community non-daily category.
First place awards were given to Robin Vinci, editor, for Investigative Reporting for “Rock Cats FOI Reveals New Info” and best single editorial “Democrats Make Process a Sham”.
Rachel Anonuevo took first place for page 1 layout “Top 10 Must do’s in New Britain This Summer” and for News Photo “No Hearing for Trueworthy”.
Eva Gryk took first place for Photo Layout “Klingberg Motorcar Festival 2014”
Gryk also took second place for Photo Layout “CT-BHI Race in the Park 2014” and third place for Feature Photo “All Souls Day”.
Anonuevo took second place for Feature Photo “Time to Pick Your Own Blueberries”.
Vinci, David Huck and Matthew Cannata took home third place in the General Reporting category for their stories on “President Obama Visits New Britain.”
