I took a ride on the CTFastrak this week. The bus was nice and it was clean. There were many riders. I found it a fine trip. Since I didn’t know Hartford I wasn’t really sure where to get off to find a restaurant.
My advice is that there needs to be a better map. Buses in Las Vegas tell you what stop is for what casino. Perhaps the CTFastrak could say what is the best stop for The Bushnell, The XL Center, restaurants etc.
For someone who does not know Hartford I was lost. I never got off the bus until I reached my original location. I wanted to eat lunch in Hartford, but was not sure where anything was located.
The bus I was on had a broken front door so it appears the buses have a few quirks.
I think the busway is great if you know where you are going. I will definitely use it again and I encourage anyone who knows or works in Hartford to use it.
I hope it stays clean and safe. It would be great to see the project expand to other cities.
It certainly made me feel like I was in a big city with transportation.
It looked busy this week as well even though it is no longer free.
For those who celebrate it, I hope you had a good Easter. There seemed to be more Easter Bunny events this year than in year’s past. I don’t remember taking pictures with the Easter Bunny when I was a kid. It was about colored eggs and baskets as well as church.
To me it also meant Spring is here, Although this year it was a bit cold. I didn’t even see tulips coming up.
