Are you excited that Main Street USA has finally been officially announced? It seems most people have enjoyed that festival most of all in the City.
It’s going to be a great event. The booths are a little costly, but it is going to cost the City money to do this and I am sure it cannot afford to lose money.
I’m not sure what part about it I am most excited about. I think the music and food will be fantastic. There will also be activities for children. I bet the crowds will be enormous. Let’s pray for good weather.
This week also held a lot of enthusiasm with the CTFastrak opening. I have not had the opportunity to ride the bus yet, but hope to this week. It is a very exciting project. I look forward to spending more time in Hartford.
I saw a lot of photos on Facebook from people and the buses looked very crowded. I hope it stays that way once it is not free any longer.
I also heard rumors the bus may be extended to other areas of the state. This project could just be beginning. I wish it great success.
It seemed all the State politicians were at the opening last week. I was really glad it was in New Britain. The main station in New Britain is gorgeous. It is definitely the highlight of the route.
Once we get the bridge redone can you imagine what a treat it will look like to come into our City. New Britain is growing every day. I’m so proud to be from New Britain. We have so much going for us.
It may not be new news, but on page 2 we have information about the flea market coming to Mitch’s. I think a lot of people can be drawn to it from the busway. It will be interesting to see if it brings a lot of people to the City.
The busway is already helping business. Amato’s Toys and Hobby stated they get new customers each day from the CTFastrak. Anything that helps our local businesses is important.
I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. I hope this truly means Spring is around the corner.

I guess after a certain age hunting for things becomes a chore rather than fun.
