Community Leaders Have Many Good Wishes for 2015

Each year the New Britain City Journal asks leaders across the City and this year some from Berlin their wishes for the New Year.
Following are their replies.
• “My wish is that 2015 be a year filled with hopefulness and joy for the people of New Britain; that we continue to work together, regardless of party, to move our great City forward; that the pride our young people feel for their hometown continues to grow; and that all our families have a year of health, happiness and continued blessings.” - Mayor Erin E. • My wish for 2015 is for the health and wellbeing of our community and school district. That our leaders will engage in respectful discourse and come together in common purpose for the benefit of our City, the place we call home. Cleaner, calmer politics will set a tone for the entire community. We must leave the vitriol behind and agree to disagree when necessary. • Our wish for Berlin animal control shelter is that we hope that less people will feel the need to just abandon their dog or cat outside the door at the shelter. We hope they take a little time to search for a rescue or private shelter to help them and not wait til the day before they are moving to begin looking.
