I’m so excited that Halloween is next Friday. Please come down and enjoy all the festivities dowtown. I am so glad that this event has been successful so far. Thanks for all those who help out in a variety of ways. Specials thanks goes to the Community Service Officers. You guys are awesome.
Pray for nice weather. If there is a heavy rainfall it will be canceled.
Don’t forget to go to the Adult Halloween Friday at Frosty Mug from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. See page 2 for more details.
I would like everyone to say a prayer for Joe Girgenti who was seriously injured last week. He is well known around the City and we wish him a full recovery.
On Thursday, Oct. 28 please come down to Roma’s Restaurant from 6-9 p.m. for a discussion on solar power from SolarCity. Did you know that if you qualify you can get free panels on your home? You pay a lower rate of electricity as well.
Mike Frawley, regional sales manager, and I will be there to talk to anyone who is interested in learning more.
With electricity prices going sky high this is your chance to save money. There is no catch. It is just about saving money.
There will be free pizza and wings so you have nothing to lose.
I recently put solar panels on my roof for free and I love it. All you need is sun. And you save trees. It’s a win-win situation. Please come down. I hope to see you all there. I will tell you everything you need to know to save money.
This week’s paper is a pretty good one. Read page one for new information on State Rep. Peter Tercyak. In most cases anyone with personal ties withdraws from voting on such issues. The relationship is not a conflict of interest, but the votes just may be considered conflicts.
Last week I went to St. Lucian’s Residence to watch the CCSU Aging Class. The students loved it and the residents loved it. It really looked like everyone was having a great time. It is terrific that these students take time out to help the elderly. We could use more good programs like this one. Thank you CCSU!
Are you ready to rake your leaves? That is the only thing about fall I really don’t like. I have little trees in my yard yet it is full of leaves. What a hassle. If anyone is bored, call me and come pick up my leaves. I won’t even charge you. LOL!
Time for a Facebook joke.
“People say 60 is the new 40. Well the cop that pulled me over didn’t agree.”
That one definitely made me giggle.
Until next week be careful how fast you drive and keep reading YOUR #1 Most Trusted New Britain Newspaper!
