I know I am going to get a lot of grief for endorsing all Republicans in the upcoming state elections.

The truth is, it was a very difficult decision. I went back and forth on the 25th district several times.

I really do like Robert Sanchez. I just could not agree with many of his stances and the debate was the clincher. I heard him compliment Gov. Dannel Malloy so many times it was ridiculous.

I really don’t think residents are in love with Mr. Malloy. Nor do they like Tom Foley. Personally, I will not vote for governor this year because I am not impressed with either of them.

I really feel we need change at the state level and the only way to get real change is to vote for new faces. I cannot support people who raise taxes in the state and do not see the economy and jobs as the most important issues.

As a registered Democrat I will endorse Democrats in the future. In fact, I look forward to it. I just could not endorse any in this election. Last election I did support a few Democrats.

I really feel all three candidates endorsed are the best choices. I do want to hear more from Paul Gobell. I thought he was impressive from what I’ve heard from him.

How do you feel about the decision made by the Civil Service Commission? I was surprised because it seems like no matter what politicians do they get away with it. It was nice to see someone held accountable. I believe the appeals will go on so long it may not matter.

I’m not sure if I feel it was political. I do know the members tried their best not to be political. It was he said/she said, but it is hard to understand what some people would have to gain by saying the things against Suzanne Bielinski and Jessica Gerratana. I think those testimonies were the ones that made the members vote against the two.

Attorneys fight for their clients so I am not surprised by anything they say. It is their job.

Timeless Tales seems to be taking a new turn. I’m interested in seeing how that turns out.

Did you come to our Dinner and a Movie for Halloween last Thursday night? Thank you if you did. It was fantastic. I hope we can do it again next year.

There will be another fundraiser coming at the Frosty Mug for the Halloween Safe Zone on Friday, Oct. 24. It will be an adult costume fundraiser. It costs $5 or 5 lbs of candy to get in. I will tell you more about it next week.

Quick joke this week.

“You can tell Halloween is coming because Walmart is bringing out all the Christmas stuff.”

I saw Christmas stuff in September.

Until next week watch for the holidays and keep reading YOUR #1 Most Trusted New Britain Newspaper!
