Pigskin Predictions

Week 4 of the football season was better than I expected. There were some really fun games to watch and some interesting things learned about teams once again.

First, San Francisco really needs to get its act together. They beat Philadelphia but they had so many penalties. They will not win unless they get more disciplined. I think if the two played again Philadelphia would win. The Eagles had a hard time on offense which was surprising. The game was not well played by either team.

I enjoyed the Lions and the Jets game. Matt Stafford played like I knew he could. If only he were more consistent the team would be better. I picked them to go far this year. Hopefully, the team will continue to improve.

The Dallas Cowboys played great on Sunday night. Cowboy fans were going wild on Facebook. They definitely are getting better and will battle the Eagles for the division. I never trust Tony Romo in big play situations. He tries to make too much happen and disaster occurs instead. But, I will now keep my eyes on them ‘boys.

The New Orleans Saints looked lost. I don’t see them going anywhere. They are just not in sync. They have so much potential. I’m not sure what is wrong there.

Did you see the Giants blowout the Redskins? The Giants are so unpredictable. Two weeks in a row they blew away the competition. The first two weeks they looked like a high school team.

I’m not sure how Pittsburgh lost to Tampa Bay. That was a serious shocker.

Last week I said Indianapolis and San Diego would win big and neither disappointed me. Those were easy games to call.

This week the Sunday night game of New England and Cincinnati looks to be the best one to watch. The winner here could move up in my rankings.

I don’t really see any blowouts this week. Every game could be close.

Have you noticed we haven’t seen one good game on Thursday night yet? Each one has been a blowout. Those are boring. Depending upon on who starts for Minnesota at QB this Thursday changes the entire game. Teddy Bridgewater looked amazing in his first game for the Vikings, but he left with an ankle injury. If Bridgewater does not play then Green Bay wins big.

I had a good week picking teams this past week as I was 10-3, but this week will be much harder. Do don’t bet on my picks.

Here is my Top 5.

Top 5:

1. Seattle

2. Denver

3. Cincinnati

4. Arizona

5. Dallas
